Stanford University, Berkeley Lab, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory have chosen Convey Computer's hybrid-core system, HC-1, to explore the application of reconfigurable computing technology. Read more.
RNA networks was named a "disruptive technology" at SC09. RNA's memory virtualization can make a shared network resource available to all nodes in the data center. This includes the ability to dynamically construct or provision a shared memory environment within a cluster, based on application requirements. Read more.
Numerical Algorithms Group has released the NAG Toolbox for MATLAB: a one-stop solution for numerical computing needs to allow users to easily and confidently migrate prototype code developed in the MATLAB environment to final production code in advanced programming languages using the same algorithms. The toolbox is available for both Linux and Windows. Read more.
Ohio Supercomputing Center and and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Supercomputing Center signed a collaboration at SC09 designed to enhance the offerings of both organizations' industrial outreach programs. The two organizations will jointly develop web-portal based modeling and simulation software, host each other's staff for temporary assignments, and provide expertise on the selection and deployment of open-source software codes.
