The San Diego Supercomputer Center announced its Collaborative Notebook application for data management. Researchers can use it to access, manage, store, and share data from a variety of Internet and Intranet sources on desktop computers.
OFFICE TO DO PDF
Microsoft will support native PDFs in Office 12, allowing users to view, print, and create PDF documents from within all Office 12 applications. A beta version of Office 12 should be available this winter; the formal release is planned for late 2006.
Euroscreen SA, which specializes in G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), is using Aureus Pharma’s knowledge database AurSCOPE GPCR to aid its research efforts. The database gives researchers quick access to biological activity data about GPCRs mined from patents and scientific journals.
