July | August 2006 | Ingenuity Systems has launched a new version of its flagship pathway analysis software, IPA 4.0, which helps users analyze and model biological data extracted from the biomedical literature. The new release features both search and reporting updates, allowing users to conduct and save advanced searches for genes, proteins, or biological relationships, as well as create reports on bibliographies of pathway information and export high-resolution images for publication and presentations. Additional new features include Path Explorer, to help create literature-supported, signaling pathways for proteins of interest, and My Pathways, to help users visualize biological processes and diseases of associated genes. Also, for the first time, IPA 4.0 is fully Mac-enabled.
