Nov 15, 2005 | Coupling chromatin immunoprecipitation with a glass slide is what Agilent Technologies has launched as its ChIP-on-chip platform, enabling researchers to analyze activity at regulatory regions of genomes. Also called location analysis, this platform provides insight into key mechanisms of embryonic stem cells and illnesses, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and central nervous system disorders. The company says emerging applications, coupled with the ability to design and print microarrays containing up-to-date content, are the foundation of its genomics program. Agilent plans to offer a complete solution for location analysis that includes reagents, a microarray portfolio, and data analysis software.
