June 14, 2006 | EMC has introduced the EMC CLARiiON UltraScale architecture and CX3 series of networked storage systems, for midrange storage performance, scalability, and economics. The CLARiiON CX3 UltraScale series is designed to support customer’s information lifecycle management strategies by enabling the consolidation of multiple tiers of information onto a single array while optimizing performance and total cost of ownership. According to the company, it is the storage industry’s first available platform with full end-to-end 4 gigabit-per-second Fibre Channel technology featuring up to double the performance and capacity of its predecessor.
