CD Genomics Announces Advanced CDAMP® Panel Kits for SARS-CoV-2 Detection

August 9, 2020

SHIRLEY, NY, UNITED STATES - Aug 12, 2020 - CD Genomics, an internationally leading provider of microbial testing services, microbial genomics services, and integrated bioinformatics services for hospitals, food, diagnostics, pharma, agriculture, biotechnology, and research institutes, announces advanced CDAMP® Panel Kits for SARS-CoV-2 detection. The newly launched products include CDAMP® SARS-CoV-2 Panel Kit, CDCAP® Respiratory Virus Panel Kit and CDCAP® β-CoVs Panel Kit.

CDAMP®SARS-CoV-2 Panel Kit is a highly multiple target enrichment panel covering the entire genome of SARS-CoV-2 virus. The purified RNA sample can be amplified to the library in 5.5 hours through a quick and simple workflow. This panel is mutation resistant to allow sequence variability. The panel can generate highly accurate data with minimal RNA input.

“As long as COVID-19 threatens any country, the entire world is at risk and therefore every effort must be made to avoid mistakes of the past by ensuring protection is extended to everyone on earth, not just those with the means to afford it. CD Genomics provides CDAMP® Panel Kits for coronavirus detection to help the diagnosis of this disease. We have served the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for years and in such hard times will still be fully supportive to our clients worldwide.” commented vice president of CD Genomics.

CDCAP®β-CoVs Panel Kit is specially designed for fast and easy workflow in next-generation sequencing (NGS) applications on the Illumina platform for target enrichment and library preparation. The kit is based on a target enrichment panel captured by hybridization, covering the entire genome of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and other β-coronaviruses. The purified RNA sample can be directly used for library preparation and hybridization capture through a simple and high-throughput workflow.

CDCAP® Respiratory Virus Panel Kit is specially designed for target enrichment and library preparation using a fast and simple workflow, in next generation sequencing (NGS) applications on Illumina platforms. The Kit is a hybridization capture-based target enrichment panel covering 36 respiratory disease-related viruses, such as SARS-CoV-1, MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B/C virus, etc. Purified RNA sample can be directly used for library preparation and hybrid capture by a simple and high-throughput workflow.

What are the characteristics of the CDAMP® Panel Kits at CD Genomics?

  1. Complete genome coverage with uniformity.
  2. Ultra sensitivity and specificity.
  3. Less external interference, convenient for data analysis.

“As a company that specializes in providing genome services and products, CD Genomics has been committed to accelerating the detection and research of this new coronavirus during the COVID-19 pandemic, and at the same time making every effort to take action to prevent the spread of coronavirus.” said Dr. Charlie.
