Creative Proteomics Released Sequence Analysis of Peptides or Protein for Research Use

September 18, 2019

SHIRLEY, NY - Sep 18, 2019 - September 18, 2019, Creative Proteomics, as a leading supplier in the fields of proteomics, glycomics, metabolomics and bioinformatics, recently released the protein sequence analysis to assist researchers in their biological projects. The newly-developed sequencing service costs scientists nearly six months to test its performance. It is believed that this service can performance will in their corresponding research projects. Depending on those advanced platforms, including NMR, GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV/FD, etc. Creative Protoemics has the ability to meet different demands of clients.

The N-terminal sequence analysis from Creative Proteomics is depending on dman and Mass spectrometry of therapeutic proteins, monoclonal antibodies and protein vaccines.

  • terminal sequence analysis for protein

In protein N-terminal sequence analysis, proteins are first modified with phenylisothiocyanate (PITC). And then the derivatized terminal amino corrosive is evacuated by acid cleavage. Therefor, protein sequence will be analyzed in through a reaction of PITC addition, and cleavage of one PTH for analysis. When compared with mass spectrometer, N-terminal sequencing is less efficient, but it is fairly routine to obtain at least 20 to 25 residues of sequence from the N-terminus of the proteins and peptides, which can be regarded as one of its advantages.

Mass spectrometry

It is recognized that the mass spectrometry, being efficient approach for the mass determination and characterization of proteins, is the most useful technique for protein sequence analysis. The most commonly used mass spectrometry methods are mass spectrometers are electrospray ionization and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization, being used as ionization source for ionizing peptide fragments. Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization is applied in dealing with large amount of samples.
