Manuel J. Glynias
Founder, President, & CEO

Dedicated Teams, Innovative Solutions

What is the history of your organization’s involvement in life sciences?
: Since its founding in 1996, NetGenics has been providing informatics solutions to the life sciences market. NetGenics was started to meet the need for data integration and scientific expertise in the development of life science software. I had written several other bioinformatics software packages in the past and began developing software as a research biologist out of the need for computational tools in the lab. (NetGenics recently merged with LION Biosciences.)

What is your vision for the development of the life sciences market?
: NetGenics is driven to be the premier provider of data- and application-integration software products and services in the life sciences market. We are driven by the desire to aid in the development of innovative discoveries.

What organizational assets have you developed to serve this community?
: We have assembled a team of developers, architects, and managers who are dedicated to the mission of the organization and are able to focus their energies to achieve the goals of the organization. Our biggest asset is our people and our ability to create innovative solutions with our people.

What products and services does your company provide to the life sciences market?
: Our primary product is DiscoveryCenter, a data integration platform that allows life science organizations to gather and mine data of all types better, faster, and more accurately than ever before. Behind DiscoveryCenter is a group of scientific and IT experts who develop and deploy custom solutions to meet the individual needs of organizations within the life sciences community. ChemSymphony & MetaSymphony are chemistry-specific tools that allow for the development of chemistry aware applications and solutions.
