Healthline.com, a leading Internet search engine dedicated to consumer healthcare, announced that OmniMedicalSearch.com (OMS), a health information metasearch engine, has added Healthline as its preferred provider for its selected search of health and medical Web sites. Now when health information seekers turn to OmniMedicalSearch.com, they will be presented with listings from Healthline.com. Netuitive announced that it has signed its 100th customer. Over the past 12 months, Netuitive has signed more than 70 customers, growing its customer base by more than 200 percent, a clear indication, Netuitive says, that companies are moving towards the growing trend of BSM and implementing BSM solutions. Bay Medical Center, a 413-bed regional referral hospital in Panama City, Fla., recently selected McKesson's Horizon Clinicals suite of solutions, along with McKesson pharmacy automation technologies, as part of a multi-phase drive toward clinical excellence. Under terms of the agreement, Bay Medical Center will deploy a combination of McKesson's integrated solutions to automate healthcare delivery processes while bringing together patient information in a single electronic format. Bay Medical Center selected McKesson after a rigorous and highly competitive evaluation process that was led by ACS Healthcare Solutions, Bay Medical Center's IT outsourcing partner. The initiative calls for deployment of key components of McKesson's medication safety solution, including McKesson's bedside medication administration solution, Horizon Admin-Rx, to help ensure the right patient receives the right medication by using a handheld device to scan medication bar codes at the bedside. Memorial Medical Center, the flagship hospital for the Springfield, Ill.-based Memorial Health System, has selected PatientKeeper's award-winning Physician Information System to address its information technology needs with one integrated environment. Physicians practicing at the hospital will now be able to manage patient care, collaborate with other providers, and record charges for services with Web browsers on laptop/desktop PCs, PDAs, and Smartphones. Archivas announced that Maimonides Medical Center has implemented an Archivas Cluster (ArC) fixed content open archive, a modern alternative to traditional CAS (content addressable storage) offerings. ArC has been deployed, in place of Maimonides' current optical storage platform, to better store, manage, protect, and access long-term fixed content, as well as to lower administration overhead.
