The CDISC European Interchange in Copenhagen saw a surge of interest this year and with that a significant increase in numbers. Over 300 attendees enjoyed events across the week (21st – 25th April 2008). This increase reflects the growth in adoption of CDISC (Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium) standards in Europe and the more mature audience contributed enormously to the lively sessions. Tim Jaeger, Chairman of the European CDISC Coordinating Committee, said: “This year our dramatic increase in numbers demonstrates how important CDISC is to medical research in the European Union and beyond; we are proud to have welcomed both our well established and new delegates to Copenhagen.” Read the press release. OmniComm Systems announced that City of Hope, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center, has gone live using TrialMaster for EDC in the first of many trials that will benefit from using a unique library of NCI-related reusable electronic case report forms developed by OmniComm and City of Hope. The trial, coordinated by City of Hope on behalf of the California Cancer Consortium, will enroll between 72 and 132 patients and will involve at least 17 participating centers, including international sites.
