Easier Distributed Computing

Aug 15, 2005 | Digipede Technologies announces the Digipede Network 1.0, .NET-based distributed computing software that lets companies combine the processing power of Windows-based systems. The software is based on the Microsoft .NET platform, which Digipede says makes it easier to install and use when compared to some other grid technologies, most of which are Unix- or Linux-based. The Digipede Network comes in two versions: the Digipede Network Team Edition and the Digipede Network Professional Edition. The former supports up to 20 computers, the latter is for departments or companies with hundreds or thousands of desktop, server, and cluster nodes. Both editions come with the Digipede Workbench, which provides Windows interface and wizards that make it easier to use the product.
