Nov 15, 2005 | Thermo Electron Corp. announced Galileo LIMS v3.1, a new version of its laboratory information management system (LIMS) for high-throughput in vitro ADME/Tox labs. The main enhancements in the new release include better automation and visualization. Specifically, v3.1 offers automatic flagging of results using a three-color system to indicate acceptance, rejection, or flagging of a particular experiment’s results. Additionally, the new release interfaces with more analytical instruments, supports a new type of experiment (called IC50 shift) that helps investigate enzyme interactions, and supports PAMPA (parallel artificial membrane permeability assay) permeability studies that Thermo says are important in early screening of compounds.
