Ariadne Offers Information Extraction Tool

April 14, 2006 | Ariadne Genomics announced MedScan Reader 1.0, desktop software that automatically extracts information from scientific text. The product is derived from Ariadne’s MedScan, which uses natural language processing technology to extract information. MedScan Reader reads and digests abstracts and documents, summarizing the content. It can be used to view and browse the knowledge extracted from on multiple biomedical Web resources, such as PubMed and Google Scholar, and locally stored files and archives. The MedScan Reader is integrated with Ariadne’s PathwayStudio software, which gives researchers a graphical representation summarizing the information extracted from the various sources.
