April 14, 2006 | The new BenchCel benchtop microplate handling system introduced by Velocity11 delivers the speed and precision of much larger and more expensive automation platforms, featuring a novel high-speed plate shuttle that accesses the integrated microplate stacks and two peripheral instruments. This customizable module provides the flexibility and scalability required to meet the needs of the most diverse lab environments. Users can choose from 2, 4, or 6 stack instrument configurations and from four different sizes of removable racks with capacities of 15 to 70 standard microplates. Its delidding function removes and replaces microplate lids as necessary. The BenchCel is powered by the company’s VWorks automation control software.
