March 14, 2006 | Unleashed Informatics announced DogRun, a BLAST server tightly integrated with the company’s bioinformatics data warehouse called DogBox. DogRun runs on a Sun Microsystems server, and besides BLAST, researchers can add other applications that would query or use the information for the DogBox data warehouse. To meet varying performance levels, DogRun can be scaled to accommodate up to 64 processors in a single form factor. Additionally, the Unleashed Informatics offers a managed cluster service. Unleashed Informatics is a spin-off of The Blueprint Initiative at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital.
