Sept. 18, 2006 | Geneious has announced the launch of Geneious Pro 2.0, which features the ability for users to collaborate and share data, sequence alignment editing, and ClustalW alignments. It includes a revamped user interface, improved search agents, public application programming interface for third-party plug-ins, and support for additional commonly used import/export file formats. Other enhancements include annotation editing, open reading frame finder, new sequence creation, and chromatogram visualization. Geneious Pro allows scientists to collaborate using P2P technology so that they are able to share sequences, publications, and other bioinformatics data.
