Rebecca earned her PhD in Molecular Genetics from Iowa State University before moving onto postdoctoral studies at Mayo clinic in Rochester MN. Her work at Mayo focused on genomic studies in solid tumor, hematology and immunotherapy to support translational research and precision medicine. Rebecca also held an adjunct faculty position at the University of Minnesota with the bachelors of health science program. She now supports translational research and precision medicine product lines with Oracle healthcare in a customer facing role as a principal field scientist.

Roy WildsRoy Wilds, PhD

Roy Wilds leads the data science team at PHEMI Systems, and is responsible for designing and building data analytics and data science software to extract insights from data. Prior to becoming the Chief Data Science Officer, Roy was the Director of Product Management responsible for PHEMI Central™ product development and strategy. PHEMI Central is a big data warehouse that takes advantage of the power, scalability, and flexibility of Hadoop while providing fully integrated privacy, security, governance, and data management—all built right in.

He has been the data mining team lead for multiple research teams, and has helped build protection tools for various data mining operations. He has advanced knowledge in machine learning theory, a strong background in Python, R, and SQL, and substantial expertise using Hadoop's distributed technologies. Roy graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science from Simon Fraser University in the Department of Physics, obtained his Master of Science from McGill University in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics from McGill University

Sean Sigmon is a Business Development and Strategy Director for Oracle’s Health Sciences business focused on Personalized Medicine. Previously, Sean was VP of Sales and Business Development at Translational Software, a leading Pharmacogenetic (PGx) Clinical Decision Support Services company. Prior to Translational, he worked in senior marketing and sales leadership roles for Microsoft, Philips Healthcare, and Boehringer Ingelheim. He’s worked in healthcare for more than 20 years and throughout his career he’s helped executives and clinicians understand optimal approaches to care while helping them embrace new therapies, devices, software and ways of working.

Sean holds a BA in Economics from the University of Washington and a MBA from Seattle University, and is an Executive Trustee at BloodworksNW (the largest blood services and research organization in the northwest).
