CD Genomics Launches Complete Product Portfolio for Research to COVID-19 Response

The product manager announces the newly-developed qPCR Kits include two: CD one-step qRT-PCR probe kit and CD one-step qRT-PCR SYBR green kit. All of this enables high-sensitive total RNA detection. In addition, we offer virus extraction kits, positive control and dNTP Mix.

The CD one-step qRT-PCR probe kit is designed for qPCR that directly uses RNA (such as RNA virus) as a template. CD one-step qRT-PCR SYBR Green kit is suitable for SYBR Green I-based qPCR that directly uses RNA (such as RNA virus) as a template. Reverse transcription and PCR can be done in one test tube, which greatly reduces the pipetting steps and the risk of contamination. The kit is a premixed system.

 

Virus Extraction Kits are designed for rapid and high-throughput purification of viral DNA/RNA from serum, plasma, etc. The kits are based on silica gel membrane technology and a unique buffer system, which can be used immediately without phenol/chloroform. The purified DNA/RNA is ready for downstream applications, such as PCR, RT-PCR, real-time PCR, NGS, etc.

 

Positive Control includes CD-2019-nCoV-abn and CD-2019-nCoV-abEN. Pseudoviruses consist of a retrovirus envelope and nucleic acid sequences. The nucleic acid as a part of the ORF1a/b gene sequence and gene N coding region sequence of 2019-nCoV is obtained by chemical synthesis, and cloned into a retroviral vector. The pseudovirus is prepared in 293T cells, and then concentrated and purified by ultra-fast centrifugation.

 

The dNTP Mix (PCR Grade) is an equimolar mixture of high purity dATP, dTTP, dCTP, and dGTP, which can be directly used for PCR, reverse transcription (RT), and one-step RT-PCR.
