New Product introduction: myGelTM Electrophoresis System and EZ PackTM Agarose Tablets

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Jul 29, 2014 - An electrophoresis system for nucleic acid separation has recently been introduced by Benchmark’s Accuris Instruments division.  The new myGelTM Mini includes a small power supply that securely connects to a gel running tank without the need for electrical wires, and the complete, connected system takes up very little space on the laboratory bench.  The power supply has adjustable voltage settings, 35, 50 or 100 Volts DC, and also includes a digital timer that can shut off the voltage at the end of a timed separation.

Gel Casting sets are included with the system, allowing quick casting of 5 x 6 cm or 10.5 x 6 cm agarose gels.  Double sided combs, also included, are used to make various sized sample wells in the agarose gels.

The myGel Mini is the first electrophoresis instrument introduced by Benchmark’s Accuris division, and is a natural expansion to the company’s popular line of agarose powders and recently introduced EZ Pack TM agarose tablets.
