From Google to Flatiron Health and the Fight Against Cancer

August 24, 2012 | Nat Turner and Zach Weinberg left Google in June to start Flatiron Health, a New York-based software company aimed at devising ways to help cure cancer.

Turner and Weinberg aren't doctors but engineers with deep pockets. When they were 24, they sold their startup, Invite Media, to Google for $81 million. Plans for Flatiron are still in flux, but will likely involve some aspect of mining clinical data. Business Insider
