Calit2 Researcher Wins Multimedia Computing Award

September 10, 2012 | A UC San Diego researcher won an award for her outstanding Ph.D. dissertation in multimedia computing, communications, and applications. Wanmin Wu's dissertation, Human-Centric Control of Video Functions and Under-lying Resources in 3D Tele-immersive Systems, "documents fundamental work in the area of unifying systems and user-centric approaches to managing information flows for supporting 3D tele-immersive environments,” said the award committee. Wu is now a  postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Wireless and Population Health Systems (CWPHS), part of the UC San Diego division of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2). Calit2
