Making Mechanical Marvels

January 10, 2013 | Researchers at the University of Manchester have built a robotic ribosome, or at least a nanomachine  that can mimic some of a ribosome's activity. The tiny molecular machine can't do all that a natural ribosome can accomplish, but it could be the first step in using the body's machinery to create chemicals. Nature
