Amazon-Stored Data Exposed Thanks to Faulty User Settings


March 29, 2013 | A security audit found that one in six data storage "buckets" on Amazon's S3 storage service is incorrectly set to public. Conducted by vulnerability firm Rapid7, the audit scanned over 12,000 buckets and found nearly 2,000 public buckets containing video game source code, sales records, and employee information. eWeek
