Skipping Exons: New Gene Therapy


September 24, 2013 | Sarepta Therapeutics has developed a drug that may be helping muscular dystrophy by skipping exons. Instead of traditional gene therapy that tries to fix faulty genes by replacing them, the new therapy focuses on skipping exons until the code reads correctly. New York Times
