Stanford Launches Center for Research About Research

March 14, 2014 | A new institute at Stanford is taking on the role of research watchdog. The Meta-Research Innovation Center, or METRICS, will host researchers from medicine, statistics, and epidemiology and will create a "journal watch" and other measure to identify and minimize "persistent threats of medical-research quality."
