As Life Science organizations continue to struggle with the proliferation of information – structured and unstructured - some forward looking companies are turning to new approaches. To gain greater insights, data scientists are integrating disparate data silos into a unified knowledge platform for a single view and using semantic technologies to harmonize and link the data using shared vocabularies and publicly available medical taxonomies. This single view helps scientists connect the dots and make more informed decisions . Examples include “Go or No” decisions on Clinical Trials, Patient Selection and On-boarding, Real World Evidence, Competitive Intelligence and Global Regulatory Compliance initiatives such as IDMP (Identification of Medicinal Products). Join Smartlogic and MarkLogic to learn how their customers are leveraging MarkLogic’s NoSQL database platform and Smartlogic’s semantic technologies to construct the information platform of the future.
Learning Objectives:
- How semantics can help solve intractable business problems
- How content enrichment and data extraction can add power to your information assets
- How new data platforms can enable 360 degree views of anything
- Discover the value of integrating data silos in Life Sciences
- Explore common Life Sciences use cases (e.g., IDMP)
