LIQUID STABLE, MATRIX PLUS™ CHEMISTRY REFERENCE MATERIALS NOW OFFERED BY VERICHEM LABORATORIES
VERICHEM LABORATORIES now offers their liquid stable, ready-to-use MATRIX PLUS™ Chemistry Reference Kit, which is designed and manufactured to meet the needs of a variety of laboratory professionals involved in routine clinical testing, research applications, or in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturing facilities. Intended for the calibration, or calibration verification, of “wet” chemistry assays on clinical testing systems, Verichem’sMATRIX PLUS™ Chemistry Reference Kitis expressly intended to support overall system QC and CLIA compliance. When used in conjunction with the optional MATRIX PLUS™ Level F , this multi-analyte, six (6) level set of liquid stable materials, is comprised of seven (7) separate chemistry components, covering a total of forty-seven (47) individual concentration levels. Analytes include Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Calcium, Creatinine, Glucose, Magnesium (in mg/dL and mEq/L), Phosphorus, and Triglyceride and is suitable for use on multiple analyzers utilizing a wide variety of testing methods, including visible spectrum, ultraviolet, kinetic, and/or endpoint. The product is a valuable tool in determining a clinical system’s bias to the true, or known, value.
Verichem LABORATORIES’ MATRIX PLUS™ incorporates a buffered protein based matrix for serum-like reactivity and is intended to be treated as patient specimens with wet clinical testing systems. The formulation displays remarkable optical clarityand is free of glycols, surfactants, azide and other interfering substances. By maintaining a constant protein content and neutral pH across concentration levels, the unique formulation and CLSI EP06-A set point design of these reference materials are crucial for the independent determination of test method accuracy, sensitivity, linearity and reportable range. Plus, the use of highly purified source components and the liquid stable format eliminates matrix variations and reconstitution errors common experienced with lyophilized, or other serum-based products. Each active component is verified using available Standard Reference Materials from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and documented with a Certificate of Analysis.
In addition, Verichem LABORATORIES’ MATRIX PLUS™ Chemistry Reference Kit are conveniently packaged for multi-use and contain fill volumes ample enough to cover multiple verification testing events. Each of the levels are filled within easy-to-use, opaque polyethylene dropper vials and feature an exceptional open-vial product stability claims of twenty-one (21) months from date of manufacture. VERICHEM LABORATORIES serves the clinical laboratory testing and in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturing markets with a comprehensive line of calibration verification products, chemistry linearity standards, assay verifiers, standard reference materials, and support services, including free instant online data reduction reports for CLIA compliance.
