Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions to showcase single-use advancements in sustainability and supply agility at INTERPHEX 2025

March 11, 2025

Devens, MA, USA, 12th March 2025 / Sciad CommunicationsWatson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions(WMFTS) will reveal its new WMArchitect Interchangeable Parts service as well as showcase new sustainability benefits for its users from advancements in BioClamp manufacturing at booth 2753 during INTERPHEX 2025, held from April 1st-3rd at the Javits Center in NYC, USA.

Following the launch of the WMArchitect™ single-use solutions range at INTERPHEX last year, the Interchangeable Parts service allows users to safeguard against single-use component supply constraints by designing in pre-qualified,alternative components in their single-use assemblies. This improvement in supply agility avoids regulatory compliance interruptions when component availability is disrupted. The versatile service also eliminates the disruption of reduced stock and potential for production shutdown, as well as avoiding the need to evaluate substitute parts quickly in time-sensitive incidents. This service meets industry best practices and has been developed according to industry working group consensus on interchangeability of components.

The single-use BioClamp® has also been re-engineered in both its design and manufacturing process. Visitors to the WMFTS booth can discover how BioClamp is manufactured to be 13% lighter than the previous model, with a 22% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions across the full lifecycle of the product.

BioClamp is just one of multiple innovative solutions WMFTS offers for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including expert services, peristaltic pumps, tubing, assemblies, and valves.

Sade Mokuolu, Regional Business Development Manager – Life Sciences, Americas Division, said: “Our booth will demonstrate how we offer life sciences companies solutions beyond the pump including expertise, validation services, components, tubing, assemblies and sustainability benefits to users. Advances in manufacturing of the BioClamp® component mean there is a 13% reduction in weight compared to the previous BioClamp model and the adoption of an advanced automated manufacturing process has resulted in 22% less carbon dioxide emissions across the full lifecycle of the product.

“Visitors to the WMFTS booth can also explore the capabilities of WMArchitect™ single-use solutions, an end-to-end biopharmaceutical fluid management solution from a single supplier including the newly launched Interchangeable Parts service. WMArchitect is designed to offer both standard, ready-to-use single-use assemblies as well as customized designs that are fully supported with tailored validation packages and now, more ability with our Interchangeable Parts service.

“Our peristaltic pumps and compatible fluid path solutions are renowned in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, but visitors to our booth at INTERPHEX will be able to discover more about our solutions for upstream, downstream and final fill/finish applications including our Flexicon FPC60 fully automatic fill/finish small-batch aseptic system.

“WMFTS life sciences experts will be able to provide advice on how to overcome common challenges in fluid transfer applications, ensure compliance, process stability and final product quality.”

Visit WMFTS at stand 2753 at INTERPHEX to learn more about its innovative fluid management solutions for life sciences applications.
