December 6, 2020

Providence, RI . . . Verichem Laboratories now offers the TRU-ZERO Bilirubin Standard as part of its extensive line of liquid stable, protein based, Total and Direct Bilirubin standard materials. With a verified concentration level of 0.0 mg/dL for both Total and Direct Bilirubin assays, the material is intended for the calibration verification of Total and Direct bilirubin assays with a number of chemistry testing systems including, but not limited to, those available from Abbott Diagnostics, Advanced Instruments, Beckman Coulter, Roche Diagnostics, and Siemens Healthineers.

Verichem LABORATORIES’ TRU-ZERO Bilirubin Standard incorporates a proprietary stabilization process, which eliminates the need for azide, glycol, or surfactants. The product features an exceptional refrigerated open-vial product stability claim of five (5) days; with a shelf-life of fourteen (14) months when stored at 2 to 8 °C. In addition, it is supplied ready-to-use and requires no special reconstitution procedures or diluents. The TRU-ZERO Bilirubin Standard is conveniently packaged in amber serum vials, with rubber-lined closures for added security, containing five milliliters (5.0mL) of material; with each kit containing two (2) vials. Used in conjunction with Verichem LABORATORIES’ five (5) level Bilirubin Standard Kit (Cat. No. 9450) and the 9436 Bilirubin Standard-Level F (Cat. No. 9436), it becomes part of an all-encompassing set of Total and Direct Bilirubin Standard Materials for CLIA calibration verification. As such, this standard is certain to address the needs of a wide variety of medical laboratory professionals, in both routine clinical and in vitro diagnostics (IVD) product development settings.

VERICHEM LABORATORIES serves the clinical laboratory testing and in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturing markets with a comprehensive line of calibration verification products, chemistry standards, reference materials, and support services - including free, instant online data reduction reports for CLIA compliance.
