Duet Biosystems Unveils TEMPO, a Breakthrough Platform for Combination Drug Development, at AIDDD 2026
BOSTON, MA — October 27, 2026 — Duet Biosystems, Inc., a Nashville-based biotechnology company developing advanced analytical and AI-enabled tools for combination drug development, today introduced TEMPO, a decision-support platform designed to make combination drug development efficient, precise, and cost-effective.
The announcement coincides with the opening of the 5th Annual AI Drug Discovery & Development Summit (AIDDD), October 27–29 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.
Combination therapies play an increasingly important role in treating complex diseases, including cancer, but their development remains challenging. Teams must evaluate interactions among multiple drugs across doses, ratios, exposure levels, and treatment schedules. Traditional approaches often rely on limited measures of synergy, making it difficult to translate experimental findings into confident development decisions.
TEMPO brings together multiple sources of scientific evidence within a structured, quantitative decision-making framework. Built on patented MuSyC technology invented at Vanderbilt University, the platform is designed to help teams evaluate promising drug combinations, assess pharmacological and translational considerations, identify critical evidence gaps, and prioritize next steps—from early discovery through preparation for first-in-human studies.
“Combination therapies hold enormous potential for improving patient outcomes, but their development remains unnecessarily complex, expensive, and inefficient,” said Jon Lehman, CEO of Duet Biosystems. “Too often, development teams conduct experiments and analysis without the benefit of a comprehensive analytical framework to guide their decisions. The result is wasted time, unnecessary expenditures, and promising therapies that may never reach patients. We believe TEMPO represents a breakthrough in combination drug development.”
Duet Seeks Beta Development Partners
Duet is seeking pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners with active combination drug development programs to participate in TEMPO’s next phase of development and validation. Beta partners will be able to apply the platform to real-world research challenges, evaluate its analytical and decision-support capabilities, and help shape future functionality.
“Working directly with development teams is essential to ensuring TEMPO addresses the practical challenges they face,” Lehman added. “We are looking for partners who want to help shape a new generation of combination drug development tools while gaining early experience with an approach that could materially improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their R&D programs.”
AIDDD attendees are invited to meet Duet at Booth 39 to learn more about TEMPO, discuss potential applications, and explore beta partnership opportunities.
