Researchers at the University of Miami have unveiled a groundbreaking research project called the MILBox, which uses AI to create “digital twins” of patients. Once created, healthcare practitioners can test and evaluate various treatment options and potential outcomes on these “digital twins,” before applying them in the physical world. The study is supported by Amazon Web Services and Open Health Network, which use data from wearables and in-home sensors to create these “digital twins."
